LONDON: What to do in Covent Garden!

One of my favourite spots to visit or spend the day in London is Covent Garden. The array of shops, restaurants, bars and so many other things to do have inspired me to list my top recommendations! Have a read and let me know what you think...

1. Flat Iron (yes, food always comes first)

If you haven't heard of Flat Iron you are seriously missing out, like seriously. If you're a steak lover like me, then this restaurant is well and truly for you. One thing I really struggle with when going out for dinner is picking something from the menu... what if I pick the wrong thing? (Persuade your OH to get something you like the sound of too, you know,  just incase....) Anyway, at Flat Iron they have made choosing your meal extremely simple. There is one main dish - The 'Flat Iron' Steak, they tend to have a few specials and other cuts available too, but I've always opted for the flat iron cut. Their béarnaise sauce is possibly the best I've had and the Dripping Cooked Chips are what heaven tastes like. You'd be happy to know that it does not break the bank, the steak is only £10, yep, I know!?! It comes with a generous side of salad and honestly is enough if you're not ravenous. The sides are an extra £3.50 each but like I said before, totally worth it. So all in all, it's a big yes from me.

Flat Iron have a few locations around London, check them out here

2. Shopping or window shopping for that matter...

From Burberry to Urban Decay, Mulberry to Whistles, Zara to Charlotte Tilbury. There is pretty much everything in Covent Garden. If you're feeling spendy, you could easily stay in the area for the whole day, or if you love a good window shopping session.. this is definitely your place.

3. Covent Garden Market

A wander around the Covent Garden Market makes me so happy! You can find everything and anything, macarons from Ladurée or perfume in Chanel. I love going for a cuppa tea at the Whittard of Chelsea Tea Bar in the basement of the Market building, and if you're lucky there will be some live music in the foyer of the market. There are so many restaurants, cafes and bars and all sorts of shops, market stalls - literally something for everyone!

4. Taking everything in..

I recommend spending a good few hours in Covent Garden whilst you're in London, whether you're there for food or drinks, shopping or going to the theatre - you won't be disappointed! Grab a seat on one of the beautiful swings and be entertained by the street performers.. I promise you'll fall in love with Covent Garden just like I have!

I want to try share more recommendations for things to do and see in London so let me know where else you'd love to know about!

I can't thank Katherine enough for these photos! Be sure to check her out here.

Love Kirby Xx
