STYLE: getting prepared for summer with PrettyLittleThing

I have the most exciting summer plans this year, which really got me (already) thinking about my summer wardrobe. I don't tend to buy into trends as I much prefer being able to wear an item for a few years - always thinking of the cost per wear!

I'm heading to the South of France at the end of June for a week, possibly my favourite area of Europe. Then onto Turkey a couple of weeks later for a chilled week in the sun, and then a week in Sicily! I'm so excited for lots of pizza, prosecco and olives and exploring somewhere new. Then finally two weeks in Greece! I'm looking forward to travelling and relaxing before going back for my final year at uni.

A couple of weeks ago, PrettyLittleThing got in touch and asked if I'd like to style some outfits from their Festival Shop - I may or may not be heading to a festival this year but with the recent heatwave and numerous trips booked, I would be silly not to accept! I love having the opportunity to put together outfits and style them in my own way. You may have already had a peek at some of the outfits on my instagram (I couldn't resist waiting!) so if you've been wondering what I'm wearing - then this post is perfect for you!

I've recently been loving denim so you may see a running theme in the outfits I picked!

First up, is probably my favourite outfit! The most flattering sun dress and an oversized black denim jacket. I'm so impressed in the quality of the dress, it isn't see through at all and the ruffles on the sleeves and hem are beautiful - an absolute steal at £25. I've wanted a black denim jacket for years but haven't managed to find the right fit, I love the oversized style as it's so versatile. I've worn it with pretty much everything and absolutely love it - it's definitely worth £40.

I've fallen head over heels with this crop top - the detail is so lovely and I don't have anything else like it in my wardrobe. I think I might even pick it up in white! At only £20 - I think this is perfect, it is petite, so I recommend sizing up if you're not petite!

I'm a huge fan of anything square neck, I think it's a very flattering cut! This white bodysuit is only £8, so comfy and such good quality. The denim skirt is my new summer staple - I love the stripe detail as it is a little different, but still very classic. It's £25, fits true to size and fits like a glove. The funky purple sunglasses are also only £8 and made me feel very extra!

My final outfit is the comfiest. The black ruffle skirt is so soft and stretchy - gives a little room for a food baby...! At only £20 I would definitely say to add this to your wardrobe if you don't already have a black denim skirt. The charcoal t-shirt is just £10 and I ordered it oversized, as I really wanted something baggy and comfy, perfect for travelling. Finally, the half frame sunglasses are only £12 and I absolutely love this look. Maybe one of the only items which is more 'trendy' but at such a good price, it's a good way to buy into the trend without being to spendy!

Let me know if you've got any summer style inspiration - and I'd love to know your holiday plans!
Huge thanks to Pretty Little Thing for gifting me these amazing pieces Xxx
